Services
Child Therapy
For younger children, I use a combination of:
Play therapy techniques
Therapeutic games
Storytelling
Art- and activity-based interventions
Tools tailored to each child’s interests
These approaches help children express themselves in ways that feel natural, safe, and engaging. I incorporate emotional education, behavioral skill-building, and family collaboration to support growth both in and out of session.
Adolescent and Teen Therapy
With adolescents and teens, I focus on:
Emotional regulation
Anxiety and stress management
Family and peer relationship challenges
Identity development
Coping skills and resilience
School, motivation, and behavioral concerns
I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where teens can explore what they’re going through while still supporting healthy communication with caregivers.
Minecraft-Assisted Therapy
For clients who have difficulty opening up verbally or who feel uncomfortable with traditional therapy, I offer Minecraft therapy as a creative and engaging alternative. This approach uses a familiar virtual environment (Minecraft Education, more secure server than regular Minecraft) to support emotional expression, build rapport, and introduce coping skills in a low-pressure way.
EMDR Therapy
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapeutic approach that helps individuals of all ages process difficult or overwhelming experiences, reduce distress, and build healthier emotional responses.
EMDR is a structured, eight-phase therapy model that uses bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements, tapping, or sound—to help the brain reprocess memories and reduce the emotional intensity associated with them. It is not about forgetting the past, but about changing how it is stored so the experiences no longer feel as distressing, overwhelming, or “stuck.”
How EMDR Helps
EMDR can be highly effective for:
-
Trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)
-
Anxiety and panic symptoms
-
Phobias and fears
-
Grief and loss
-
Performance anxiety
-
Stress-related symptoms
-
Negative self-beliefs
-
Medical trauma or chronic illness challenges
EMDR for Children
For younger children, EMDR is adapted to meet developmental needs and may include:
-
Play-based elements
-
Stories and metaphors
-
Visual aids
-
Creative activities
-
Age-appropriate emotional regulation tools
These adaptations make the EMDR process feel safe, clear, and manageable, helping children process experiences without feeling overwhelmed.
EMDR for Adolescents & Teens
With teens, EMDR can help address:
-
Emotional triggers and reactivity
-
School stress and social challenges
-
Trauma or upsetting memories
-
Anxiety, perfectionism, or identity-related stress
-
Self-esteem and confidence struggles
Sessions balance structure, collaboration, and practical coping skills to support teens in building resilience and emotional insight.
EMDR for Adults
For adults, EMDR provides a focused, effective pathway to reduce distress related to past experiences, unhelpful patterns, stress, and emotional stuck points. Clients often report feeling more grounded, confident, and connected after processing difficult memories in a safe and guided way.
Virtual Sessions & Expanded Access Through Hopscotch Play
I provide virtual therapy sessions to offer flexible, accessible care for families with busy schedules or transportation limitations. In addition to traditional telehealth, I also use Hopscotch Play, a pediatric mental-health platform designed to increase access to child therapy services. Hopscotch Play allows children to engage in therapy through a secure, kid-friendly telehealth system that includes:
Interactive therapeutic games
Tools designed specifically for children
A structured online space that helps young clients stay focused and more engaged
Flexible scheduling options for families who may not have access to in-person services
By offering therapy through telehealth, I am able to expand accessability for families who might otherwise face barriers to receiving care.
