Mindful Me: Child and EMDR Therapy
Andrea "Andi" Goundry, LGPC, NCC

"There’s usually an “inside” story to every “outside” behavior. Though we may not be able to know that “inside story,” there’s generally some inner reason for what children do."
–Fred Rogers

If your child is feeling overwhelmed, anxious, shutting down, melting down, or you’re just exhausted from trying to hold everything together on your own, I’m here for you. I believe a child’s healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and supported, and that families grow stronger when parents feel empowered instead of alone.

As a pediatric therapist who works closely with children, teens, and families, I create a space where big feelings make sense and where your child can explore their inner world with curiosity, not fear. I approach therapy with warmth, playfulness, and deep respect for each child’s mind, body, and emotions because the way kids feel on the inside shows up in how they behave on the outside. Together, we’ll gently untangle what’s getting in the way of confidence, connection, and emotional regulation.

Let’s help your child reconnect with their strengths, build resilience, and move toward a life where they feel understood, confident, and grounded. And let’s help you feel supported along the way... because you don’t have to carry this alone.

Yours truly,

Andi
